Head’s Welcome

 “Inspiring, Nuturing, Caring”

On behalf of Hartest Church of England Primary School, we extend a very warm welcome to you and your children. We invite you to visit our friendly, caring school. We would be delighted to show you round and help in any way we can. We hope you find the information on this site useful and that you and your child will together enjoy browsing and learning more about Hartest using the various links.

As a Church School at the heart of the community, we welcome children and their families of any denomination or no faith. In our partnership with parents and within our Christian ethos, we aim to nurture, encourage and challenge every child to become the best that they can be as they grow into successful, well rounded individuals with a life-long love of learning, within the beautiful rural surroundings of Hartest.

We provide a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment which encourages and motivates children to learn and develop as confident independent young people. The relationship between well qualified and dedicated staff, motivated and well behaved pupils together with a supportive local community ensures that our pupils make good progress, achieve and enjoy learning both in and out of the classroom.

We have high expectations of all children and encourage all to succeed through our focus on developing the skills and behaviours that support learning. We help children to see the potential within themselves, raising aspirations and encouraging children to take responsibility for their achievements.

Since June 2017, our school has been part of the St Edmundsbury and Ipswich Diocesan Multi Academy Trust  The Trust aims to ensure that every one of it’s 18 schools provides an outstanding education for every child, enhance by it’s distinctively Christian ethos.  You can find out more about the St Edmundsbury and Ipswich Diocesan MAT by clicking on the Trust icon at the top right of any or our website pages.  Please click here for the link to their Annual Report and Accounts .
